Cotswold Hotel & Spa Wedding – Hannah & Joe
Winter Sun for this amazing fun wedding!
Cotswold Hotel & Spa Wedding – Hannah & Joe – Meeting Hannah and Joe a few weeks before their wedding I remembered how lovely they are and also how much fun they are together. This is truly a couple that laugh and joke their way through life having the best time possible. Stories unfolded such as Joe turning up at Hannah’s hen party wearing a banana suit and at one point all the Hen’s had facemask’s with Joe’s face on (one was hanging up during bride prep). Considering how well he got on with everyone and what a charismatic guy he is, I totally get it.
This was my last wedding of 2019, held just the day before New Years Eve so we still had that Christmas vibe going on with beautiful decorations everywhere. Combine that with how well Hannah & Joe decorated the venue themselves, they really made the Cotswold Hotel look amazingly Christmasy and weddingy all in one go.
Bride prep was just an amazing party, with the bridesmaids swapping in and out of the room where the guys were getting ready just opposite. As we got closer to wedding hour, it all started to come together, with eventually Hannah walking up the aisle to meet Joe for their wedding. Joe took it all in his stride with a massive smile on his face, Hannah I think had a few emotional moments, but once the official ceremony had all been completed, Hannah and Joe just wanted to have a great time with their friends.
Although we were deep in the heart of Winter, the sun was out most of the day and with a 4pm sunset just before the wedding breakfast and almost a double figure ambient temperature, we completed the group formals outside and then went for a walk with the happy couple. Never ever would I have thought we could have taken these photos at this time of the year, I had to remind myself when I was processing the set that these weren’t taken in Summer!
As we rolled in to the evening, Hannah & Joe were keen to have a few creative portraits taken which I was very happy to fulfil, it was great to have the time to set up some random blue gels to illuminate the ceiling full of round paper lanterns, plus use the random outdoor light fixture on the edge of the drinks patio. We then rolled in to the evening with dancing from everyone, including some impromptu Irish dancing from Joe. I heard that no-one knew Joe could do this type of dancing, not even Joe knew until he tried apparently!
Hannah’s beautful dress was supplied by Bicester Bridal, she looked stunning!
I want to offer Hannah & Joe a massive congratulations and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. If you enjoyed reading this blog and you are planning your own wedding day at the Cotswold Hotel & Spa or anywhere else in the country, I would love to hear from you!
