Ashridge House Wedding – Emma & Jon: If you were ever to plan a Winter wedding, then Ashridge House is the place to have it! The exterior and grounds at Ashridge are so stunning, however due to the amazing interior and the variety of locations available should you have less than pleasant weather then the scope of what can be created indoors and under cover is near endless. Although we had our fair weather fingers crossed for this November wedding, with the forecast for rain we implemented our wet weather plan and readied the lights for mostly inside portraits, almost rubbing our hands together in anticipation of what we could do!
Emma and Jon are such a fun amazing couple, I could see that all they wanted to do on their wedding day was just have loads of fun with their family and friends. it was clear both at bride and groom prep that everyone was just having such a great time, providing a nice fun distraction away from the couples nerves as they approached W-Hour.
The wedding ceremony was very touching, I think I could see the glint of a tear in the corner of Jon’s eye as he saw the beautiful Emma walk down the staircase to meet him at the altar. All through the day I could see the amount of open love this couple have for each other. But hearing the romantic stories that came out during speeches, Jon has set the bar so high I think he should write a book to teach us mere mortals!
Evening plans included fireworks and a masquerade ball, with an amazing live band and it was a brilliant evening and such a great end to this amazing wedding day. Photographing this wedding for Emma & Jon at Ashridge House, with the ceremony and the celebration all at this amazing venue, I’m so glad they chose me to be their wedding photographer to provide them with these happy memories.
