Barns at Redcoats Wedding – Lauren & Steve
A beautiful wedding at Redcoates, Hitchin, on one of the hottest days of the year!
Barns at Redcoats Wedding – Lauren & Steve: Always we hope for great weather on any wedding day and boy we were not disappointed for Lauren & Steve’s wedding day. It was a warm day from the beginning but a super chilled bride prep having drinks on the lawn outside with the patio doors open, a nice cool church and the amazing Barns at Redcoates later in the day, all was set for an awesome day!
I feel that I’d got to know Lauren & Steve quite well in the build up to their wedding and they were such a great couple. We had our first meeting in a nice pub, we had a super chilled fun pre-wedding shoot at the Barns in Redcoates and they even came to see me at a wedding fair in Milton Keynes. They were both quite excited about all their wedding plans so seeing them finally on their wedding day was so cool!
The Bride Squad and all family and friends at bride prep were having a great time, everyone was so excited for this day. Lauren was being looked after so well by everyone and with the arrival of her Rolls Royce Phantom as she finished getting ready we were all ready to be leaving for the church.
I met Steve at the church with his Groomsmen, all ready for Lauren’s arrival. I could see that the church was absolutely packed with every seat full and it was so warm I kept trying to stand next to guests with fans to try and get a little cool air. When Lauren arrived in her beautiful wedding dress everyone forgot about the heat to witness this marriage, so touching to see them take their vows and finally be announced as the new Mr & Mrs!
After a small set of formal group shots and a few portraits we drove just a few minutes down the road to the Barns at Redcoates, a lovely wedding venue near Hitchin, to start the celebrations. Prior to the wedding breakfast we did go for a portrait walk however as the sun was quite bright and the temperature a bit warm, we decided that an evening walk for some portraits might be better so we split the session in to two parts. I’m so glad we did as later on we had some beautiful golden light and a nice gentle breeze to help keep us all cool.
It was great to see Jukebox providing some background music during the afternoon however it wasn’t until the proper evening session did they really give it some beans, providing a beautiful first dance then a full dance floor with everyone having such a mental time dancing!
I am so grateful to be a part of this beautiful day and to document it for the happy couple to keep for all time. I want to offer Lauren & Steve a massive congratulations and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. Great also to work alongside Danny of Affordable Wedding Videos as well.
If you enjoyed reading this blog and you are planning your own wedding day at the Barns at Redcoates or anywhere else in the country (or abroad), I would love to hear from you!
