Hampden House Wedding – Jenny & Toby
An amazing wedding day for Jenny & Toby at the stunning Hampden House
Hampden House Wedding – Jenny & Toby: I met Jenny’s Mother & Father at a Wedding Showcase evening at Hampden House
last year. Although the family are local to Hampden, Jenny lives up north in Manchester with Toby, so Jenny relied on her family to help source local suppliers for her wedding. Luckily I impressed Jenny’s Father enough to recommend me to Jenny and they booked me for their wedding.
I had the pleasure to meet with Jenny & Toby for the first time a month or so before their wedding to talk through their plans and finally we are now at their wedding day. Hampden House is such a pleasure to visit always. The wedding team here are so lovely and such a pleasure to work with, always providing super high levels of service and making sure everything is just right for the couple. The house and grounds are stunning and make a lovely backdrop to any wedding, I love shooting weddings here!
Both Jenny & Toby had impressive numbers at their respective wedding parties and I was asked to move between the upstairs (Bride Squad) and the downstairs (Groom Squad), to capture a nice rounded set of images of everyone in the preparation for the wedding. As we got ever closer to W-hour, spirits were high for the bridal party and when Jenny was ready with all her bridesmaids and her family we headed downstairs.
Toby was quite nervous waiting at the altar and once the ceremony started everyone was having such a great time enjoying this special moment with the happy couple, but I think everyone was really waiting for the drinks reception where the fun really started! Group shots were so funny, with Grandma making a late but show stopping appearance for her shots, holding a mozzarella lollipop and with a mouthful of food. The craziest and funniest group shot I’d taken in a long time was the ‘Friends of the Bride & Groom’ shot. Never ever can you beat everyone in the shot giving it 110% of their best pose, such a funny shot to look back on. You guys rock!
Notably the wedding favours on the beautifully laid out tables was jam, home made by Jenny & Toby!
Moving through the day and on to the speeches, I have to admit I’ve never seen a father present their daughter with a long forgotten ASBO caution yellow card during the speeches, then to hand Toby a red card, ‘just in case he might need it one day’. Into the evening we went with an amazing unique song written and recorded by close friends played after the first dance, then after loads and loads of drink and some evening portraits, this amazing day eventually drew to a close for me. Such an amazing wedding, you guys were the best!
