Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Hayley & Edward
A wedding at the beautiful Haddenham Church followed by celebrations at Notley Tythe Barn
Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Hayley & Edward: The Summer wedding season for me generally follows the pattern of most Saturday’s being booked up to 12 to 18 months in advance. It was towards the end of May when I received an email asking if I was available at short notice for a wedding in June as their photographer had to drop out for personal reasons. My first reaction was ‘blimey probably not’, then I noted that the date was one of those rare Saturdays where I hadn’t received a booking. Following a few quick emails, a meeting in a local Costa the next day, Hayley & Edward were all booked in!
Hayley was getting ready at The Oxfordshire Hotel and Spa and being a preferred supplier here I know the place very well, it is always a pleasure to come back and visit. Being presented by Hayley with a Terry’s Chocolate Orange was the best start I could ever imagine from any wedding day, thank you so much guys!
With some hilarious stuff going on with Hayley and her bridesmaids, which included some random hair and makeup antics plus scissors to the bridesmaid dresses, making the morning such a brilliant laugh all the way through. I really liked Hayley’s approach to her wedding day, no nonsense, very practical, fully represented by her Converse trainers she was to wear all day.
Close to W-hour they were finally set to leave in the beautiful classic cars supplied by Allerston Taylor Regency Carriages, heading off to St Mary’s Church in Haddenham. It was such a touching service in this beautiful church, hosted by a vicar I’d worked with before. Afterwards with an amazing confetti line, a set of group shots and some quick portraits outside the church in front of the Haddenham Village Pond, we headed off to Notley Tythe Barn for the celebrations to start.
As always, couples ask to stop on the lane approaching the Barn for a few portraits before arriving at the Barn proper. We have a few guests beeping and waving as they drive past and although we are taking photos, this is the first proper time the happy couple have a little time to themselves and I try to give them as much space and time as possible.
At the Barn, with a few extra group shots, the wedding breakfast and speeches flowed nicely into time for the cake cut, the evening celebrations began. Hayley & Edward with their guests had some amazing dancing schizzle, but running out to capture one of the most epic sunsets I’ve ever seen for a set of stunning evening portraits, it was a perfect end and I couldn’t have asked for a more awesome day as a wedding photographer. Hayley and Edward, you guys were so much fun all day through!
Being asked at such short notice to be a part of this beautiful day and to document it for the happy couple to keep for all time, I felt quite privileged and very lucky. I want to offer Hayley & Edward a massive congratulations and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
If you enjoyed reading this blog and you are planning your own wedding day at Notley Tythe Barn or anywhere else in the country (or abroad), I would love to hear from you!
