Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Sophie & David
A beautiful sunny day for this amazing wedding at Notley Tythe Barn

Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Sophie & David: From the outset I could tell that family was important to Sophie & David, not just their own children but their extended family also. Chatting with them before their wedding they talked a lot about capturing the fun of the wedding and that I could not take enough photos of the kids and everyone else. With a few shot requests and a concise list of group shots, I was told otherwise to just capture the day in the best way I could, I love couples like this!
David’s nickname is HD, short for Hairy Dave! Hair and beard trims seem to happen when they happen, however for the wedding day David visited a barber’s to be trimmed and wedding ready, when he turned up in the car park I had to ask him is he truly Hairy Dave, because I didn’t recognise him, he looked so neat and trim!
Sophie was having an amazing party with her family at the Spread Eagle in Thame, but as we got closer to getting ready she took a little bit of time with her maid of honour to start the process of dressing and to finish off all those little things ready for her wedding. Sophie did indeed make a stunning bride and being allowed ten minutes to take some portraits of her before we all left was perfect, I’m really proud of these images!
The ceremony at Notley Tythe Barn was so emotional, both with tears and laughter, such a great time. Afterwards as David only drinks Coca Cola and not anything alcoholic, signature Coca Cola bottles were served to all the guys, but a few cheeky hip flasks did make an appearance to top them out.
David had his dream car for the weekend, a Mustang, so at the start of the portrait session we had to include a few snaps of this stunning looking car, however Sophie quickly dragged her new husband away from this beauty so we could have a walk around the Barn and concentrate on some portraits of just them two. As I always say, I don’t like to pose couples, I just provide a little bit of direction and wait for the magic to happen and with these two lovebirds indeed it did!
The rest of the day turned in to a massive party, with a list of 20 names created and a 20 sided dice being rolled to see who would take the next shot, this seemed to go on for a while and by the time we got to the evening everyone was definitely in the spirit for some dancing, only to pause so a hilarious game of Mr & Mrs could be held.
You guys were awesome, congratulations and thank you for allowing me to be a part of this amazing time. A big shout out to the team at Notley Tythe Barn, professional, lovely and making sure that everyone had a great time, and thank you for the amazing meal. Also Danny from Affordable Wedding Video’s, great to see you fella.
