Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Laura & Ed

A fun filled story of a wedding day at the beautiful Notley Tythe Barn
Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Laura & Ed: Being the key preferred wedding photography supplier at Notley Tythe Barn means I am honoured to be a part of a good share of weddings at this stunning venue. The couples that are attracted to this venue and who also choose my storytelling style of photography are always absolutely brilliant.
From the outset I was very pleasantly taken aback at how lovely everyone is, with the planning meeting turning in to an al fresco lunch at Laura’s parents home, where I got the chance to meet everyone properly and yes of course to chat about their wedding plans, but also some fantastic general random conversation about just about everything. Fitness, cycling, how I got started in wedding photography, my family, it’s the kind of wedding meeting you just don’t want to end.
The wedding day itself was an extension of this warm welcoming feel. I was asked to attend bride prep then to pop over to see Ed and his friends quickly, then back to the church before heading off to Notley Tythe Barn. One of Ed’s friends had decided to build a mini trebuchet and was intent on making it work before we left, also a mini game of golf on the lawn. Not topped thought by Laura’s Dad at bride prep pulling out a book on ‘Wedding Etiquette’ and splashing champers everywhere.
This day meant so much to everyone, it was so easy to be caught up in the joy and happiness all through the day and with an appearance of Ian the beer Donkey at Notley Tythe Barn, everyone was having such a brilliant time. One of the best party evenings ever, with mini sunflowers being handed out and also the brides cowboy hat from the hen do making it on the dance floor. Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end!
My approach to photographing weddings is all about capturing authentic, real moments throughout the day. Even during portrait time, I aim to keep things as natural as possible—more like a relaxed walk where we stop occasionally for photos, with minimal direction, allowing genuine interactions to shine through. I loved your wedding day and it was so much fun being your wedding photographer, I am so glad you chose me for your day. Thank you also for looking after me with drinks and snacks and the amazing venue meal, it all helps me to concentrate on the important task of taking photographs on your wedding day. Congratulations guys!
