Dovecote Events Wedding – Becca & Jethro. I photographed Jethro’s brothers wedding just over five years ago, so to receive the email to have a chat about his own wedding I was really pleased and looking forward to seeing him and his family again, of course importantly to meet his fiancé Becca. At the wedding meeting a few weeks back Becca & Jethro were telling me of their plans about having a Halloween pumpkin themed wedding, with orange as the main colour and also Becca teased; ‘I’m not wearing white’. Add in to that they had told everyone including their wedding party to wear what feels comfortable, I will admit was completely 100% excited for their wedding day. I couldn’t wait!
Bride prep was really funky, with Halloween themed music, lots of talk of cats, and a nice relaxed feel. Finally when Becca appeared in her black dress, amazing shoes, then finally donned her Autumnal flowers and headdress, oh my days, WOW Becca WOW! Becca’s Dad was overwhelmed even before he had seen Becca, and could just about keep to together when they had their first look.
At Bo Peep Farm – Dovecote Barn, it was great to see Jethro and all the family with Jethro’s brother just having had twins, so lovely to see Gemma and Adam again. The ceremony was totes emosh and loads of fun, but after that then the proper celebration started! We had custom carved pumpkins and smoke bombs for the portrait time and these guys are so fab together, they just couldn’t stop laughing! Love you guys to bits!!
Moving to the evening, Terry from Smooth Moves Events was hunting the venue for pumpkins and anything else he could find to ensure that his DJ setup completely matched the wedding theming. Just look at the photos below to see how amazing it all looked. With a mad evening mainly comprising of punk pop, it was a brilliant time and to add in my fave food moment of the most amazing melt in your mouth bacon rolls, a proper top evening.
To Becca & Jethro, I loved your Halloween pumpkin themed wedding day and it was so much fun being your wedding photographer, I’m so glad you chose me for your day. Thank you also for looking after me drinks and snacks and the amazing meal, it all helps me concentrate on the important task of taking photographs on your wedding day. Congratulations guys!
