A beautiful family wedding starting in the stunning St Mary’s Church in Wendover then celebrating at The Kings Chapel, Amersham

Kings Chapel Amersham – Jemma & Sam Wedding:  I’ve known Sam for a number of years, we met playing football, specifically 5-a-side and he always made me laugh with the things he’d say during a game, nothing that really can be repeated here in the blog and I’m laughing thinking about some of them whilst I type this, such good memories.  I was so chuffed when he contacted me at the beginning of last year to talk to me about his bid day and finally here we are for his wedding to the beautiful Jemma.

Bridal prep was at Jemma’s mum’s house and it was mental. Good mental though, their just seemed to be endless bridesmaids, mum’s and flower girls everywhere. Add in to the mix one awesome makeup lady (Laura Carroll), couple of hairdressers, a videographer (Danny from Affordable Wedding Videos) and yours truly, it was a sort of co-ordinated flowy organised chaos.  We also had Sue from The Flowers Wedding Specialist pop in as well after decorating the church with her super creative floral designs.  Everything seemed to be happening as it should and generally all on time, all was good!

Sam was nervously waiting at St Mary’s church and with a slightly slower than expected car journey, Jemma was a little late to the alter but with Sam’s best man to keep him company he was happy to wait. A beautiful service with a few tears and following the formal shots at the church we went off to the Kings Chapel in Amersham for the celebrations. Sam’s groomsmen were the biggest bunch of jokers, trying to organise them so we can complete the requested cigar shot was like herding drunk cats, but with a bit of patience and Sam telling them off a few times, deffo worth it (shot below)!

It was great to see how happy Sam and Jemma are, they’d been together a while now so to finally see them tie the knot and to be part of this special day I really felt truly honoured.  I have to say playing football with him all those years, I never dreamed I’d be his wedding photographer, I’m so pleased he chose me.
