Beccy & Katie – Newton Park Farm Wedding
Love is Love – a beautiful wedding day for two beautiful people at Newton Park Farm
Beccy & Katie – Newton Park Farm Wedding. I’m not sure any words I can write about these two beautiful people getting married will do their wedding day any justice. So I’m hoping the photos selected for the blog will show far far better how utterly amazing this mad fun day was.
Beccy and Katie were getting ready separately across the courtyard at the farm with best men, bridesmaids and family making sure that messages and loads of random little things were being swapped around to ensure that as we got closer and closer to the wedding time everything was being organised properly. The lovely weather meant that the outdoor ceremony planned for so long was definitely going to happen, Katie’s classic VW beetle was prepped ready to deliver her to the wedding.
Seeing both Beccy and Katie’s faces when they met for the wedding ceremony and from then on the joy in everyone’s faces as this celebration started was just brilliant. We started the afternoon with a set of formal group shots, outdoor drinks, canapes and background music by the Woburn Sands Band then took the newly wedded couple for a nice portrait walk before settling down for their wedding breakfast and speeches. Later in the day, we were blessed with a stunning sunset and had a nice little extra walk through the wheat fields next to the farm, the light was just fab.
Finishing off the day with the Dark Horses live rock band playing the couples fave rock songs, Beccy’s rock-chick persona fully came out and your taste in music is spot on. Loved it! Brilliant end to a brilliant day!!
As a final note; something I want to express about this day. When I arrived in the morning and started taking photos; seeing both brides really excited, their best men, family, friends, all pitching in to prep the venue, it was a really lovely feeling in the air. In my little bubble of photography concentration, I didn’t truly recognise it at first but seeing the repeated message of ‘love is love’ plus listening to the speeches, the strength and power of this simple phrase properly registered with me and it was hard not to get caught up in the emotion of why it is so important. And it is so important.
To Beccy & Katie, I loved your wedding day, it was an absolute pleasure to be your Newton Park Farm wedding photographer and thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding day. Thank you and the team at Newton Park Farm also for looking after me with drinks, snacks and the epic BBQ, it all helps me concentrate on the important task of taking photographs on your wedding day. Congratulations guys!
