Nether Winchendon House Wedding Photography – Alice & Matthew
The Wedding Day – A stunning emotional day starting at St Mary’s Church Stoke Mandeville
‘I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better photographer! Marcus came as a recommendation to us and what a fab recommendation he was! Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, despite my constant emails asking questions Marcus was always quick to reply. He did a fantastic job of our save the dates which were a hit with all our wedding guests. On the day of our wedding both Marcus and Chris made myself and my husband feel really relaxed and we’re professional and friendly with our guests throughout the whole day. We are so pleased with our photos and cannot wait to get them in an album. We have had so many compliments about our pictures from various people and I can not recommend Marcus highly enough!’. Nether Winchendon House Wedding Photography – Alice & Matthew: Alice and Matthew so far hold the record for the longest advance booking. We met to talk initially in September 2014, completed their unique pre-wedding shoot in April 2015 and finally we are here on their wedding day in July 2016, that’s approx. 22 months! Arriving at bride prep at Alice’s mum and dad’s house, I was introduced to the ‘Bridal Room’, a room that Alice’s parents had created to be Alice’s dressing room for her big day, including minimal decor, a stunning free standing mirror, chair and a mannequin. Perfect for getting dressed and for bridal portraits. And great for me to take clear uncluttered shots.
The ceremony was at the beautiful St Mary’s Church at Stoke Mandeville village and with tears from all when Alice first presented herself in her dress to her family and bridesmaid, and with more tears on arrival from the entire wedding party, and then more tears in the church, it was clear this was going to be such an emotional day – exactly how a wedding should be.
From the church we travelled to Nether Winchendon House which is a privately run venue, a stunning house and grounds with such opportunity we could just photograph all day and still not have enough time to use the whole place to its full advantage. We’d planned with Alice and Matthew the time to take them round the grounds for their wedding photography, and with additional requests from them to use the car in shots before it departed, it’s nice when I look back on the set to see it was worthwhile – a stunning set of portraits for the happy couple to treasure forever.
I couldn’t help smiling whilst editing this wedding. It’s hard not to get caught up again in this joyous day whilst viewing the full wedding story; it was difficult to choose a set for this blog because I wanted to include so many . I hope the set in this blog goes some way to portray what a special day this was, honestly such an awesome day. Alice and Matthew, I’m so glad you asked me to be a part of your wedding day, thank you and congratulations!
A massive thank you as well to Chris for assisting me and finding me a small of pot of jelly bean sweets just when I needed it. A special mention as well to The Bridal House in Aston Clinton for Alice’s wedding dress – it looked stunning and fitted perfectly. Highly recommended.
Thank you very much for reading this wedding blog. I’m available to shoot weddings not just in Buckinghamshire, but all over the Home Counties, London, the rest of the UK and even abroad. If you are planning your special day for 2017 or beyond, I would love to hear from you.
