Heatherden Hall – Pinewood Studios – Sarah and Chris. I’ve known Chris for a number of years, the main connection was through football once upon a time and we have a good group of mutual friends as a result. It was good to see him again when shooting Andy and Laura’s wedding a couple of years ago, so being invited to talk to him about his own wedding to the beautiful Sarah was absolutely a pleasure. Getting to know them as a couple in the build up to the wedding was really nice, they had picked a stunning church in Aston Clinton and then to Heatherden Hall at Pinewood Studios for their celebrations which has been featured in so many movies from Carry On films to James Bond Epics.
From the start of the day when I arrived at bridal prep, the atmosphere was just buzzing and knowing the general party wedding craziness of Chris’ friends it was just going to be an awesome day. A change to the norm of a wedding day routine really showed how close they all are as friends, with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to ride with the bride and groom in the stretch limo from the church to Heatherden Hall, via a visit at Sarah’s parents house for a ‘pitstop’ after the wedding. The whole day throughout from the start to the celebrations of the evening was just awesome fun all the way, during the early evening I actually felt a little guilty taking them away from their guests to take their portraits so we kept this quick and with such a stunning couple and the beautiful venue as a backdrop, they made my job easy to produce a beautiful set of images.
