Dorton House Wedding – Victoria and James
A fun day starting in Aylesbury for bridal prep, with the ceremony and celebration at the stunning Dorton House
Dorton House Wedding – Victoria and James – I remember meeting Victoria and James for their first wedding consultation over a year ago, where we talked about their day and their expectations for their wedding photography. All the way through they discussed how important the wedding photography was, this was mentioned also in our final meeting however also adding that they have full confidence that I’ll capture it perfectly. These are welcome words, as all I want my couples to do on their day is to enjoy their whole day with their friends and family, allowing me the freedom to capture all those precious moments that are never to be repeated.
Bridal prep was busy and so much fun, with bridesmaids and Victoria’s Aunties seemingly everywhere, multiple copies of ‘the wedding spreadsheet’ in everyone’s hands with a firm plan of who/where/when so the day would run on schedule. I would add maybe not everything though, with Victoria turning up a ‘little’ late at Dorton House for her ceremony, but making the groom wait a little to add to his nerves is never a bad thing, James seemed very happy to finally see his bride at the altar! The day was so much fun, Victoria and James had such a great time, all the guests were enjoying themselves and the forecasted rain held off long enough for us to capture the requested group shots and spend some good time capturing some portrait of the newly weds. The rain did come later though, so we used the rain to capture a few shots outside using some strobist equipment, it also gave us the opportunity for a few shots on the famous Dorton House stairs.
As always a big thank you to Chris T for working as my second shooter at this wedding. Top job as always fella.
Congratulations Victoria and James and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
If you enjoyed these images and are planning your special day, I would love to hear from you!
